IDS wiltshire

Postby Alban » Sat Jul 23, 2016 9:50 am

Hi ,

I have been having a few problems with my 57 plate FWD and just checked the PRV and it came out in bits so I am going to pick up a new scv and prv from Fords today . I have searched quite a bit on the forum and I am a bit confused . Can I fit the parts and drive carefully a few miles to Fords or can other garages carry this out .

Thanks Alban

Yes you can fit the parts then drive a few miles to have them calibrated
Any ford dealer can do it
Anyone with Ford ids can do it
Any garage with the correct kit can do it, as long as they know Transits!

Hi Hugh ,

I am often in Trowbridge so no problem for me to catch up . I spoke to Fords today and their guy said they are plug and play only need the pcm if there are problems but I would be happier to have it set up .

If you think you wil be around give me a call Paul 07701040107

Thanks

Hi ,
I did google before I posted and I spent too much money on genuine parts , can't afford to pay out twice.
Thanks

Alan,

Does this still need looking at? I've been very busy and haven't made it up there recently but might be able to fit it in soon.
