I've been so busy these last few weeks.

Finally found some time to get on with this engine :roll:

Rocker carrier refitted

Along with inlet manifold, EGR valve & EGR cooler

Exhaust manifold & turbo fitted wit oil feed & return pipes.

Torque settings....

Rocker carrier
Stage 1 - 10 Nm
Stage 2 - 30°

Rocker cover bolts - 10 Nm
Exhaust manifold bolts - 40 Nm
EGR cooler to Exhaust manifold bolts - 23 Nm
Inlet manifold bolts - 10 Nm
Glow plugs - 12 Nm
Turbo oil return pipe bolts at each end - 10 Nm
Turbo oil feed pipe bango at each end - 35 Nm

Timing chain kit fitted.

Along with cover, front & rear crank seal

Aux drive belts fitted.

Torque settings....

Timing chain guides & tensioner 15 Nm
Timing chain cover 10 Nm (2 10mm nuts at bottom 11 Nm)

Engine mount to crankcase.
2 top bolts 80 Nm
bottom bolt 48 Nm

Crank pulley
Stage 1 45 Nm
Stage 2 120°

Rear crankshaft seal bolts 10 Nm
Alternator mounting bolts 40 Nm

Apart from Fuel pump, fuel rail & injectors, Vac pump/thermostat assembly, Flywheel & clutch. Engine rebuild is now completed. :P

I'm going to fit this rebuilt engine into my mk6 - another engine conversion. :roll: :lol:

hi paul iam doing another rebuild engine code (QVFA)

and i ended up getting nural pistons ford spec pistons

Yes as I've posted difference between pistons earlier in this thread 8)

QVFA (110ps) & higher powered engines should have pistons with oil cooled crowns. :wink:

Which is different to P8FA engines that don't...

Long ago, you posted some photos of your engine rebuild project- since potobucket is not accessible now, can you post these images on here? I remember asking about oil gallery filter and your images where helpful. Now, as I am in the middle of rebuilding another engine, having taken out the filter many month ago, I cant remember which way round it should be inserted! Or does it make any difference? One end has cut out sections in the plastic, the other end not.

Would like to know that myself, took the engine apart two months ago, now I can't remember which way the filter goes back.
