Normally you'll get P0149 & P1564 codes but this could also be a damaged loom or similar...If the PCM can't talk to the timing solenoid, it'll throw up a fault code, whether it be a failing/damage solenoid or damaged loom.

I don't own a Mk6 so my info could be daft....there's other who know a lot more than I about them..!

P0404 Exhaust Gas Recirculation "A" Control Circuit Range/Performance
- Faulty EGR valve. Possibly stuck wide open resulting is hesitation when accelerating & excessive smoke from exhaust.

P1564 Injection Pump Control Module Requesting Reduced Fueling
P1664 Injection Pump Control Module Malfunction
- normally associated with a Failed fuel pump (EDc bolted to top of pump.)
If P1665 Injection Pump Control Module Communications is present as well. I would suggest check wring to fuel pump.

Just cracked off injectors and number 2 seemed fooked. Can this be my problem

Hi people. Had the injectors sent off they said all needed a referbish and said problem the pump is f***. I just collected fuel from the gold hoses to see if there was any spoils/bits in the fuel and it's clean . Do I need a new fuel pump as no codes are coming up

Think its just the tdci pumps that break up internally and require changing with injectors, think and I could be wrong you can just change injectors on a tddi and away you go. N

Fuel pumps on TDDI's also fail internally :idea:

cam plate & rollers damaged/worn out due fuel contamination (petrol mixed the diesel) or water build up in diesel filter.
Poor quality fuel can cause damage too (cheap supermarket diesel) :(

Normally no DTC (error codes) are stored when these pumps fail internally.
