lowering rear end leaf springs

Postby gavcarter » Sun Feb 19, 2017 11:13 pm

Been discussed to death I know, but the consensus seems to be decamber the leaves or flip the axle. I don't like the idea of putting leaves under axle as it means the weight of the rear end is on the four little shackles, if they give up the axle will just fall off, they were designed to hold the axle in position, not to carry the weight of the van.
I thought it would be easier just to flip over the springs so they curve the opposite way but no one seems to do this, is it because they don't fit or something?
