Door handle broke.

My sliding door wont open,pulled on the handle and its floppy in my hand.(story of my life). it wont open from the inside either,is this likely to be a handle or cable issue. the other problem is my van is an ex nhs and is fibreglass lined.

Must be a linkage broken or fallen off, your going to have to get into the inside of the door somehow.

Sounds like the cables have snapped, surely the door lining is only clipped on.

The vacuum of the door can get strong, ppl then pull the handle so hard that the cable end comes out of the handle or it snaps, i had to change my bosses handle, when i first took it off it wasn't broken but it was bent (like a bicycle cable end) I refitted it but it came out not long after.

Take the black inner knob off and the lower door panel and feel your way to where the handle is, it is fairly simple to remove.

Thank you all. its a upvc sheet on the door riveted and silicone. will be a nightmare to remove.

Stanley knife and a wee drill

Way i look at it, what will piss you off more, horrible look of the inside door or constantly going to open it and realize you have to go to the back doors

I can't open my sliding door. I've got inside but it just won't release to open it. How do we do it?
