Well it seems few places won't touch 2.0 tdci engine .Local engine reconditioner will do the recon but won't fit 2.0 as he's had trouble will only fit 2.4 .Another place said they dont touch tdci .Found place who will take a look Saturday they say on their Web site will source used engines or do a recon .

Yeah...the Mk6 TDCi's are real nightmare of a fuel system...not surprised most wont touch 'em. Even Martyn (Vantuner) won't touch 'em with a 10' pole.

The Devil resides in them..

I don't mind if it's detuned for reliability but still needs engine sorting .

Can't say I've heard of anyone "de-tuning" their van...?? :?

I just hope you've got deep pockets to get that Mk6 TDCi sorted.. There's not that many of them around so finding good "TDCi specific" replacements/parts can be difficult. :(

If you can find a low mileage mondeo tdci it will probably be cheaper buying the whole car and transplanting the engine, pcm ect in to your van, paul2012 is the man to ask.

Plus you can sell the rest of the mondeo bits on ebay to recoup some of the cost. N
