sat nav radio head unit for a mk7

Hey fellas

just wondering what you guys are fitting in your mk7 transits for replacement head units. the type with sat nav etc built in. something that doesnt look daft like all chrome and all that would be good and double din so theres no random additional cover or anything

I have a similar one in my Mk7...fits in the Mk7 nicely, no extra facia bits required....nearly plug & play.

cheers fella. remembered that i asked a similar question a while back.

are they all compatible with the steering wheel controls?

Not all are compatible with steering wheel controls, some are...best to ask the seller first I suspect.

I don't have steering wheel controls in mine, (poverty pack), so can't help much..

Having tried a few Sat Navs, I much prefer Google maps on me phone.

Got a Pioneer in mine and it works with steering controls, you need to buy a harness with the control module on it

I have a Clarion 502 and it works with the steering controls. In fact it is awesome. I phone input, sd card for music and will play dvds in the back while you listen to the radio. Touchscreen Satnav is good and I cant think of anything negative. Bluetooth for phone seems to also work well.
