2010 mk7 heater control cable replacement

Hi guys and girls recently replaced the control switch for the a/c. Managed to do that but in the process of getting the heater control panel into a position to get to the switch the heater control cable pinged as I moved the unit about. There looks to be a clip that holds the cable in place but I couldn't find it. So looked on the net for a used unit to get the clip as ford don't sell the clip. I cant find my control unit as it has a/c the part number I am looking for is vp6c1h-18k391-cb. You can buy the cable for about £35 on ebay has any one ever replaced this cable Genuine Ford Transit MK7 Heater Control Cable 1406323 if you look on ebay item https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122132407557 that is what I'm looking to replace. Any help gratefully received. Cheers
