The manifold has 8 separate rubber/silicone packings/gaskets, they slip into grooves in the manifold, once you get the manifold off you'll see.

If the gaskets are still in good nick you can probably refit them...but they're fairly cheap to buy ....unless you go to Ford.

These are cheap Chinese ones but should be ok:....

Oh....and be sure to wear latex/rubber gloves when working on or cleaning the inlet manifold too....otherwise you'll be wearing black "spooge" gloves for days afterwards...

SUCCESS!!!!!! SUCCESS!!!!!! SUCCESS!!!!!!

I cant believe it, I actually fixed it lol.

Guys, your help and advice has been paramount to this success story i cannot thank you all enough for not only offering your help and assistance but also keeping me on the right side of sanity for the last 3 weeks. I would have got absolutely nowhere with all your input.

The battery was really low yesterday so that was why it didn't turn over, once that was charged it turned with a good strong turn.

Then it was just a case perservering with bleeding all the air out the fuel lines which at one point I thought just wasn't gonna happen, think I filled the fuel filter up about 10 times before it started to really give it some fire, and had a few start and cut out moments too but she's all up and running again and taken her out for a little road tickle today, didn't dare venture too far but I think we're all good, had no problems. And starts first turn of the key too. Absolutely diamonds you all are and if any of you want any work doing I'll definitely offer you some good discount. Cheers lads

I hope the information on this threat helps others who may find themselves in same boat.

Hello I have same codes you have I suspect my pump is dead. Do you have a link to the websiterms you used to get your pump ecu fixed?

Hopefully my transite will live again as I don't fancy putting new pump into it

glad you got it fixed , so it would seem this is a weak point for the tddi's , iv seen the repair service on ebay for these and tbh it doesnt seem that bad , thinking about removing mine and sending it off for piece of mind or maybe finding one second hand and having that refurbed for a backup if it ever does go , guessing with access its easy to remove and replace?

D4D have you got a link for the pump electric repair that you used?
