Euro5 oil capacity

Postby CH1 » Mon Apr 10, 2017 10:39 pm

I did a oil and filter change on my euro5 rwd over the weekend and was surprised that it held 10 litres, are all euro5s the same :?: I remember reading on here a few weeks ago about some having a bigger sump :? Might have misread that like

I had an inkling that it was fwd vs rwd, though that could well be unfounded.

My 2012 fwd manages about 6l

According to the manual it depends on the engine and drivetrain config.

Values in litres, gallon in brackets()
imho the difference between with or w/o filter is the amount of oil needed to fill up the new oil filter, if u change it aswell.

FWD 2.2L DuraTorq-TDCi, oil - with Filter 6,2 (1,4)
FWD 2.2L DuraTorq-TDCi, oil - w/o Filter 6,0 (1,3)

RWD 2.2L DuraTorq-TDCi, oil - with Filter 10,1 (2,2)
RWD 2.2L DuraTorq-TDCi, oil - w/o Filter 9,7 (2,1)

RWD 2.4L DuraTorq-TDCi, oil - with Filter 8,8 (1,9)
RWD 2.4L DuraTorq-TDCi, oil - w/o Filter 8,4 (1,8)
MK 7.5 12plate - 125hp 2.2TDCI - FWD LHD SWB LR - 9 seats, windows and lots of toys :) --> southampton built and rescued from france
