Slight oil leak

Postby Andrew1974 » Mon Apr 24, 2017 11:15 am

Hi I think I've got a slight oil leak, it's on the right hand side of the engine. There's plenty if oil as I've checked the dipstick, any ideas would be much appreciated.

Could it be possible that the leak was caused by the old vacuum pump, on inspection of the pump after taking it off it was covered in oil.

Vac pump is on the left side of engine so it can't be that...Turbo oil supply line is on right side of 2.4 engine, check hose and connections from block to turbo and from turbo to sump.

Could also be rocker cover leaking on that side.

Did you replace water pump recently?

New water pump mated to old vac pump can cause oil leak issues.

I replaced both the water and vacuum pumps, both are working fine. After further inspection the leak is below the vacuum and water pump and round to the right, going to clean the whole area and see if it was the pumps that caused the leak. I've checked the turbo hoses and all seems fine
