Conrad Anderson Cruise Control Good or Bad?

Postby paulrichardson » Mon Apr 24, 2017 7:10 pm

Hi Guys,

I've checked my MK7 and I don't have the necessary "bits" for factory cruise control to be enabled, so I'm looking at after-market versions.

The one from Conrad Anderson seems like the one to get, and I have been led to believe installation is easy:-

Soldered joints for the +ve and CANBUS in the OBD.
Unplug the the throttle pedal connector and place the T-harness in-line, connect the other end to the cruise computer.
Install the command module to the steering column cowling.

If anyone has had experience with this unit (good or bad) I would love to hear your comments.

Regards,

Paul

Factory cruise is better, and not expensive or difficult to install,as long as you can find someone who can work ids. I'd go the factory route rather than aftermarket

I echo ake, as long as you have a 'C' BCM, all you need is the cruise steering wheel and possibly the two wires from the squib to the BCM, then activation.
