OBD2 WiFi For Android iPhone iPad

Postby Jaffasoft » Wed Apr 26, 2017 1:54 am

I'm hoping that I can connect this thing and read codes using a Apple MacOS Sierra Air Laptop, Version:10.12.3 (16D32).. has anyone tried it?, though I have a iPhone 5 if that fails. Can anyone confirm that these work reading my 2003 Ford Transit Van. It's definitely got the 8 hole plug under the dash below the steering wheel.

Considering the local mechanics charge $80 to do this reading I might as well invest in one .

My Ford Transit specifics are in my signature as well. This is the Vehicles VIN:

It may work, but it'll only read engine codes, not abs, airbag, or transmission codes

The local repco parts shop told me today the OBD 2 won't work on mine. What will work that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

I'm sure most people use f-super on mk6? But I'd think your best option would be ids, although your looking around the £100-£150 mark for ids.

I recently bought Delphi diagnostics, good bit of kit which has read everything I've connected it too

although Cant confirm it will read a mk6? Purely as I haven't tried one.

Should never assume but my gut is saying the possibilities seem high that it will.

F-Super works pretty well on Mk6 machines.

I had a mate try his $20 OBD 2 reader from China connected to my rig today and it couldn't read any codes.

Just got to find something to buy here in OZ now for a fair price!

Once again....Mk6 is "NOT" OBD-II compliant...so you're wasting your time trying to connect an OBD-II reader.

As mentioned...F-Super will do it but I'm not sure about using it on a Mac, the software supplied is "Windoze XP thru 10" ...32 & 64...

You won't find the F-Super here in Aus...you'll need to get one from the UK or China.

I had the experts read it today and they were kind enough not to charge. Still I'm going to on the lookout to get a reader.
