key fob question

hi again.with yet another problem.

transit mk7 2.4 tdci rwd

key fob only works 20% of the timewhen opening and locking doors.ive had the buttons and battery replaced twice but its still the same.the key works the central locking perfect when I put it inside the door manually..

any ideas

Might be the receiver part that gets the signal from the fob playing up?

Check the voltage of the front battery under seat
Do you also have any running or dash problems ?

thanks for the reply.no problems with anything else regarding the front battery..ive also looked at the key fob antenna behind the interior light,all seems ok.

how do I go about getting a new fob and how much to programme it.(that's if it is the fob)

fob has been working perfectly for 4 days..why I don't know, ive haven't done anything.

Mk6 remote programming only needs keyturning etc, it's almost a clockwork affair :lol:

Mk7 requires diagnostic equipment and codes

Also I find that led bulbs can interfere with the signal.

With my Cree marker lights on the fob has to be with in a couple of metres to work, but with them off, the remote works like 1/4 mile away :D
