Leaking fuel tank. Top?

Postby Ktmdad » Thu May 25, 2017 12:51 pm

Just brimmed my tank up for a 400 mile journey tomorrow. Noticed a severe leak at the top of the tank.. Pissing out... It subsided after a while to nothing more than a small leak and a drip... It's coming from the top of the tank.. Around the region where the pipes are. Any help?

its usually the breather pipe which goes onto the top of the tank then goes to the fuel filler assembly. easiest way to change is loosen the front 2 bolts on the tank and take off the rear 2 that way you can get at it easily

When you drop the tank, make sure you are near as empty as possible. Otherwise it's bloody heavy.
