So bore has been measured and is 0.08mm larger than the smallest bore of 86mm. So I have cylinder 1 at 86.01, 2 at 86, 3 at 86.02 and 4 at 86.08, I had equal compression after the first assembly, so unless anyone advises against I am going to re-assemble, and then try and move injector 4 to a different cylinder (have f-super) and see if the noise goes with it? Advice/thoughts welcomed

Cylinder 4 is beyond tolerance a7 86.08

Ford specs

Cylinder bore diameter Class A - 86.00 - 86.01
Cylinder bore diameter Class B - 86.01 - 86.02
Cylinder bore diameter Class C - 86.02 - 86.03

Sadly. Engine was beyond repair. even with a rebore to .5 oversize.

Paul2012 appreciate your response, so do you think that with a leak down test I would see the dipstick tube pressurised? Showing leakage passed the rings due to being oversized? I know you have done many conversions to the 130ps mondeo engine, could you list all things I would need to get from where I am now to a running van please

Engine is back out again, for the last time......? The deeper in I get I feel i have made the right choice, the mountings on the ECU are not done up?? That's the trouble with not having any history with van, but can't complain for what I gave for it. Got plenty off feelers out for the parts I need, should start hearing back tomorrow hopefully

You can bore the bad cyl and fit a liner and put it back to std

Just want to be sure before i buy, the jag engine is still good for the 2.0 tdci conversion, I'm sure it is just want reassurance the sticker on timing chain case says duratorque x400 130ps. Thanks in advance

Um....the one shown is a 125ps 2.0L TDCi out of a Mk6 if memory serves....no good for a Mk7 2.2 FWD.

Knobby- it's not a direct replacement but for someone that wants to do a conversion it's ideal as it comes with wiring looms, pcm, keys etc etc.
