Transit Payloads 2006 - 2010 Unsure Which Model To Buy? HELP

Postby vinyltranny » Mon Jun 26, 2017 11:23 am

Hi all,

I currently have a VW T5 T28 transporter but as the payload is only 1002kg I've now outgrown it, so need something that the payload will between 1300kg and 1550kg , the only stipulation is (if possible) it has to be a SWB and low roof model as I'll need to park it in on NCP's sometimes. Which models should I be looking for as I've tried to do background research on the T300 and T330 but different sites are giving me different payload data ?! - As for years and budget, Id guess between the 2006 and 2010 age range and circa £3.5k - £6.5k - Any help with this is greatly appreciated as I'm looking to buy instantly.

The best payload on a swb, will be a 330.
The FWD will have a better payload than a RWD due to the van being lighter, and having the same GVW of 3300kg

ok thanks Altransit for the info.

Does that mean I can look at any T330 SWB FWD and they will all have the same payload, or are there any other factors to look at ?

Thanks

Payload will depend on what's fitted in or on the van. They should all be 3300kg GVW, and the payload will be that figure minus the weight of the fully fuelled van + driver. A 350 will carry more weight, but aren't available in SWB

You need to get the empty van weighed to know exactly how much load you can put in it :)
