Hi, I'm new to the forum, but I'm already seeing a fair few posts about changing gear cables. Is there a known issue with cables for vmt6/vxt6? Personally never changed any but I've done loads of 1st and second gears and synchros.

Is this a box out job or can it be done in situ and what would be the rough cost for
a repair
?

More likely a gearbox fault than cable fault, a few of ours have had 2nd gear and 5th problems

If it's gears or synchros then it's box out and strip. If you were planning to do the job yourself you might be better to put a second hand box in. Not sure of the cost though.
