Speedo advice

Bought a rwd mk6 jumbo thats fitted with a mk7 6 speed box.
Speedo wasnt working so guessed either new cable or new speedo.
Ok so ive figured out the following.
Mk6 speedo drives via speedo drive on mk6 box.
Mk7 speedo drives via hub/abs ring.
Mk6 has no abs ring hence speedo not working.
Anyone have a fix to get the original speedo working?
Or is my only option to fit gps speedo instead.
Currently using gps Speedo app on phone
