Mk6 2004 FWD clutch slave cylinder

Postby cabrown89 » Mon Jul 17, 2017 11:35 am

Hello all

I have just purchased a LUK clutch kit for my van and I was inspecting the parts and the CSC appears to have a different orientation of the pipe connection and bleed nipple to the original. I want to make sure these parts are ok before I strip anything down because I know there are 2 types of CSC available. Here are a couple of pictures.

Any help appreciated,

Thanks, Craig

i have to replace my clutch slave too as its leaking :( so i have interest in this thread , And have some questions related..

-: are the drive shaft bolts stretch bolts? or can they be re used?
-: can the clutch slave be replaced without completly removing the box?

drive shaft bolts re-used on mine

and no, as far as I'm aware, you have to strip to change the csc

Thanks, Craig

Just looking on the net it would appear the CSC i have been sent is different to the early and the later type.

No...when the nipple is tightened the whole is blocked....when loosened the hole is open allowing fluid through.
