Alarm wiring

Postby Cheese Monkey » Tue Jul 18, 2017 2:58 pm

I have sorted permanent lives, ignition lives, door open wiring and got the siren cable through the firewall. Still need to sort indicator feeds? And circuit to immobilise, although that's not critical

Anyone know the BCM pins for the indicators?

Beautiful thank you . Don't spose you have the input section also? Looks like it is just left and right rather than front and back l&r should be easier to wire assuming the inputs are just solid 12v pos or neg

Inputs are just ground from stalk and require the bcm powered up via ignition i think.

I'd use the outputs as they are live out and disconnect when power off, you can add +12v to them and even use a relay to separate them so you can use l for 2 and r for 2.
Alternatively you may add a ground to bypass the hazard switch.

Ah yes of course, you can't use indicators with ignition off. I think the hazard switch is probably the easiest option here!

I am going to install an Sigma S34 in my 2011 transit, which has positive locking my concern is on the sigma wiring diagram it shows a rectangle box thingy on the central locking wires. I am not sure what these represent a diode, fuse or plug can it just be pulsed with straight 12v s?

Hazard switch maybe not best on thinking about it. Indicator outputs it is! A diode on each leg probably easier than a relay?

Try and see what works best :-)
Be careful with the bcm tho because any spikes or breaks etc in the circuit may not go down well. :-)

Hi guys I managed to locate most of the connections required, my main concern is I don't want to damage any thing. So I have come on here to try and get the most info I can prior to doing the work, what would be ideal is a wiring diagram for the s34 to fit on my 2011 transit, if the is such a thing. I have contacted sigma and they sent me a wiring diagram for a 2009 transit, and it doesn't tie in with the wiring on my van. So I have found as much info as I can, I am just concerned I do not want to screw anything up. I know it's positive to unlock and negative to lock, I have the ETIS manual for my van, and a Haynes manual for the van. I don't have a manufacturer wiring diagram only what I have seen on here.

The reason I am doing this is my van was broken into by someone picking my lock, so I want an alarm to go off if the door locked is picked again.

On the alarm I have got the keypad, ultrasonics in the cab, and a dual microwave sensor in the cargo area. I know I probably don't need the dual microwave sensor in the cargo area but it was cheaper that a single sensor so I got it.

I have a friend who is a thachams approved installer, so I am trying to get as much info as poss.

What you need is euro 5 diagram for locking and lights there's also a euro 5 diagram for alarm.

I don't mean to be rude but you are paying 1 company for the alarm system and another company (your friend) to install it and your asking us to convert both systems for you.

I feel that the company selling the alarm and probably making lots of money need to pull their fingers out and give you an upto date diagram :?

All of the wires in the mk7 transit are black (doors) and the only way you can do it is by having the Ford diagram and looking at connector numbers rather than tracing coloured wires.
You can buy the diagrams of etis for a transit 2011(select a vin number) for about 13 pounds an hour.

Cheers.

Whitty I am not bothering with central locking as i don't think it is necessary considering the ultrasonic and microwave sensors. They might well manage to unlock the door but the second it's opened alarm is going to go off. Plus if you set up the microwave sensor well they won't be able to unlock the van as they will trip the exterior sensors

Managed to get the sigma s34 alarm installed, a few problems which I will look at tomorrow. locks and unlocks fine, only thing is I have to wait until the intenal light goes out then I can arm, and on unlock it won't unlock the cargo area so have to use the ford key to unlock. Managed to get the wiring instructs for wiring in the van, just got to iron out the little problems then should be fine.
