2.4 tddi rebuild components

Engine is getting a bit tired and just a matter of time until it goes bang
Don't want to buy a used motor that could be just as bad.
Where can I get hold of parts to rebuild?
pistons, rings, shells etc.

I can find plenty of stuff for the tdci, they look similar but I think that internals will be different.
There is a few people selling refurbished tddi so they must be either shite or getting components somewhere.

I tried looking for these parts & prices out of curiosity a couple of weeks ago and got nowhere. So if you find answers elsewhere I'd be interested to hear about it. I've been staying with the mk6 because I often find that used spares are cheaper & repairs are simpler for me to do. I don't think mine has any fancy stuff like ABS or airbags or a DPF to deal with. But if quality engine components are no longer made then that becomes a bit of a problem.

Could someone please confirm that there either is or is not an issue getting hold of parts for the tddi.

If there isn't then were are they available from?

My plan was to run the van for a few years yet as its in good solid condition. I am sure this will be of interest to others with the mk6.

He can use that kit as the tdci I'd the same as the tddi has different pistons but I think they use the same piston rings but am not 100percent
