whats this wiring for?

Hi guys , mk6 fwd 2.0di , iv noticed a black and a red wire that has bare ends floating about in the rear , as if it once did something, it looks oem so has me wondering , its in black conduite {10mm o.d ?} and comes out from the drivers side seat base /battery and then under the bulkhead , looks like it follwed the bulkhead along the bottom edge {with sticky backed cable clips} to the center/passenger side to where it went back through the bulkhead into the front? ...

Added by someone along the way. If you don't need it, trace it back and disconnect it
