Uphill power loss?

Postby fizzyhair » Wed Jul 26, 2017 11:24 pm

I've got an 02 t300 with the 2.0l Di engine

Basically it's slow uphill suddenly. Hills it went up in 4th now I'm down in 3rd and shes asking for 2nd.

Totally flies on flat and light inclines but the second you see a hill it's like someone's dragging the brakes.

I've checked the brakes, fuel filter, air filter and injectors. There's no fault codes at all. (Ford dealer was a bit crap really and seemed more interested in selling me a new one) It did stall twice randomly while driving the other day but started right up again.

You can also hear when it's under load an air rushing sound. But I've had every pipe checked seemingly with no leaks.. im heading towards fuel pump.

Before I drive 40 miles to a decent ford dealer and stump up 3 times the vans value to have it fixed, is there anything else I can try?
Quick.. There's Time 2B Wasted!

Mk6 SWB Mid Top. White with a sort of Rust motif.

You've almost certainly got a boost leak, check every hose, check the inlet manifold, check the intercooler
