hi all , having problems with my transit ,it all started when i ran it low on fuel ,parked it up and it just refused to start , put more fuel in it and changed the fuel filter , bled the injectors and it started but only runs for a few seconds then dies again , i fitted a primer globe in line to the lift pump to make sure the fuel was getting up ,and i still cant get it to run for more than a few seconds ??????? any ideas pls

Is the filter you replaced the correct one..? Sometimes they fit but still let air in.

yea i beleve it is , i have bin told tonight by a freind of a freind that used to work for the aa to fit the primer globe to the return side of the fuel lines and bleed it that way , so i will try that tomorrow and go from there , will try anything at the mo just to get out in her again ,

It should be renamed "purge bulb"

Will it start and run for a few seconds without bleeding it You may have a crank sensor or wiring problem Best get the codes read

Is the fuel filter full of fuel?

If you have one of those yellow plastic 'fuel filter condition' contraptions, they can let air in or the filter head may have cracked.

As said the filter must be full to the brim with fuel

What are the details of your van. ?

There is no fuel lift pump in mine.
