Hi @ll,
first of all thanks for this great forum. I was learning a lot here just by reading. I own a preowned Transit MK6 TDCi 125 HP built in oct 2002. It had some issues like black smoke and powerloss. Under high load the engine turned off. I used forscan to get some more information and there was a problem with commonrail pressure. So I did a leak back test and it showed a very bad injector. I removed the old one and put in a new one with some guidence from the internet and also ford repair manuels. It all worked very well. Even recoding the mew injector to the ECU.
Now I cleaned the old injector and found that they put a second washer / heat shield on it (see images). So there is a pre installed copper washer on the old and the new injector. But the old injector was installed with a second one. When I looked at 7zap (https://ford.7zap.com/en/car/97/code.2r,1.8236,3.26676,5.26884,6.23843,9.36377,10.31868,11.4292,12.39889,13.9652,15.30758,16.28211,17.5782/2/1510/15083/65430/?vin=wf0pxxgbfp2r74304#2) it didn't look like they have a second one there. It also seems like this injector had already been changed one day because it has an CI2 code which I can't find on the label pasted on the motor. So... did I make a mistake by not putting a second washer onto the new injector? Or was the former second washer the mistake?
Thanks for your help,
Jelle
