Turbo Diesel Engine Stalling

Postby Robbo73 » Mon Aug 21, 2017 1:41 am

Hi There,

I am after some urgent information, I own a 2010 Ford VM Transit LWB Van Turbo Diesel,

About two weeks I started getting a clunking sound in the engine bay I pulled over and noticed the front two Injectors jumping up and down with talking to truck mechanic, I tightened up the bolt holding them two together and this fixed this and I was able to get back home, I booked my van into a diesel specialists to have the injectors clean, cut injector seats, new washers etc.

They also connected the Denso DST-PC scan tool and checked for fault code, one code relating to EGR code erased and did not return.

Next day not even 5 minutes from home I felt something was wrong pulled over and the engine stalled, tried a few times kept doing the same thing stalling and having no power on the accelerator, I had it towed back to diesel specialists, they again connected the Denso DST –PC Scan tool and checked for fault codes said 0, they used the scan to do relearn on injection pump and fuel pressure relief valve plus injection pilot relearn, then they took for a 30KM drive with no problems at all.

Now this morning I start to warm up the van and within a couple of minutes it stalls again, no power on the accelerator, the temperature gauge jumped from far left to far right in one go even though the engine wasn’t warmed up yet I can still touch the exhaust.

Any ideas with this I really need to find a transit specialist in Sydney or the Central Coast today, Ford can’t see me until later in the week.

Any feedback it would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks heaps, cheers Rob.
