Mk7 2.2 fwd no start

Postby roperman » Tue Aug 22, 2017 12:55 pm

Got an 07 tourneo that won't start. Had it on IDS and the fuel rail pressure is 200 bar and a little fuel is coming out of the prv. Would this cause a non start?

When I read dtcs the only thing it came up with was a historic cam/crank non sync but these won't come back now, and HP pump needs a pump learn. Can't do that without it starting.

I did try and do the non start troubleshooting thing but it's saying I need to do a pump learn before continuing, which I can't do without starting it...

Is that fuel rail at cranking low or should I be looking elsewhere? It's had a new crank sensor just in case, it doesn't show rpm tho so this may be the fault. Any places where the wiring may break?

Yes, that pressure is too low.
Prv needs replaced. And probably Acv as well

If the ecu does not see the engine turning it will not turn the injectors on.
It has to have crank rpm and cam sync to start.
mk7 08reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD
mk6 X reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD - scrapped
mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on

Notice a trend there ? not too big and not too small

This is what I'm thinking. The pressure seems low but it historically has no crank signal. Not had that error under myself tho so could be anything x
