Mk7 2.2 engine oil capacity

Postby LwbHighTop » Wed Aug 23, 2017 4:41 pm

Hi all! I've just purchased a 63' mk7 2.2l, as it's covered 101k thought I'd give it a service so I knew where I was starting with it, I changed the oil etc. yesterday using the Ford Transit Owners Manual as a reference for oil capacity, however, my new Haynes manual has just arrived and there seems to be a discrepancy between the two manuals, the Ford one very clearly states that with a filter change it should take 10.1L but the Haynes one says 6.2L also with a filter change, has anyone else spotted this and which one is correct? Thanks in advance

There are several different capacities based apon the transits based apon engine capacity and a extra large sump was also optional for increased service interval.

You could ask at your local dealer quoting the reg, or just see how much comes out?
