Disconnecting battery

Postby Oldfossil1 » Wed Aug 23, 2017 11:34 pm

Is it necessary to disconnect the battery if the van isn't regularly used during the week?

The previous owner did this.

Under normal circumstances I would say no....but if you have any high draw non factory options fitted you'll be recharging the battery every time you want to use the van. :(
No Squire, not just any van....it has to be a Mk7 (VM.1) :D

measure the voltage of the battery after it has been sitting for a day. anything under 12.2v means the battery is basically gone and should be replaced. and new fresh battery should measure 12.7~12.8v
