Hi all
sorry its been a couple of days now but had other issues to deal with
test all the wiring around the starter and alternator and they all seem fine so have stripped the pump down and have taken the EDC of and posted it of

Hi got my fuel pump EDC back yesterday (completely new circuit board) and my mechanic friend has fitted it back on to my transit van and engine is running fine, but the ignition battery light comes on when i turn the engine off and stays on
it goes off while the engine is running but the moment i turn it off it comes on and stays on
can anybody help with this issue

All sorted now
the fuse board was crossed under the passenger dash compartment
been sorted now and all is fine

Can I ask how much this has cost you so I can compare it with a replacement pump with warranty price?

No Squire, not just any van....it has to be a Mk7 (VM.1) :D

The repair cost £100 plus about £4 postage and the mechanic only charged me £50
so much cheaper than a replacement pump and runs great now
