mk6 central locking fob coding

Hi all
i had a problem with my diesel pump (which is now ok(thanks everyone)) but since then my battery light stays on when ignition turn of so have disconnected the battery to recharge and since refitting the battery my key fob won't work
i've been told i can reprogram it using the ignition and the fob can anybody help with this or know the procedure to follow

and have sorted put the ignition light as well all runnig fine
