If you do it yourself, it costs only valve price. In Poland 40-45 GBP/1pcs. I did it myself many times for me and for other guys - every time with positive effect. If van has bigger mileage, it is good change also sprayers. You need for it three keys, small tube Loctite 222 (2GBP) and few hours - nothing more.

Other people have done the same with Denso Injectors so the parts must be available at reasonable prices or they would have bought new Injectors.

If you refurbish your own Injectors....what about correction factors :?:

There is no answer to this argument, everyone loves the van they have, mk6 tdci owners like theirs van (and know the secret) mk7 van owners love their vans, no matter what spec or Ps it is as long as your happy with it then that's all that matters  N

A lot of times the problem is keeping up with the Joneses that's all

I'm not doing... anything about correction factors. Every time I put in injectors in the same place. Delphi system has selfadaptation for injectors works parameters.
Practically engine with refarbish injectors sometimes works (on the begining) very bad, it looks as it would like to jump out from engine compartment . So I waiting 20-20 minutes on idle, later drive very easy, because usually with knocking. After 10 miles is much much better, after 50-80 miles everything is perfect.
But sometimes engine works very smoothly at once from the begining... 8)

If we talk in this thread about 2,0 tdci engine performance - I must say one thing. It is good to change in injectors not only valves, but also sprayers. Effect is unmistakable, especially in higher engine speed. It going up with speed as petrol engine up to 4.500. I was really surprised how quickly engine is coming up with speed. It was something new for me. In lower speed (1.800-3.000) effect is not so spectacular. Of course - usually it is best to drive with engine speed up to 2.500-3.000 (with greatest torque). But sometimes...not...

Sorry Ned....a statement like that is far too liberal for my liking.

If you love your van you'll be prepared to fight for it's honour

I'll be off on a 12 week training camp to Macklins gym in Marbella on monday....on my return, the first port of call will be Winsford, the Mk7 Cruiserweight is gonna be knocking on ya door bro....the next bout will see me off to Holland & the third leg of the World Tour will see me in Polska Land. :D

Erm....Err....I'd best carry 3 spare EGR's & some new pistons just to be on the safe side.

Well done injectors and pump with genuine parts works without problems up to 200.000 km = 125.000 miles. Of course it isn't the best injection system in the world, but quite good. I know worse systems...

Looking at another thread I now understand the Mk6 tddi is fitted with Delphi Injectors

Was there nothing that came off the production line with Bosch Injectors :?:

Cheers for the replys. My 53 280 125 transit has never let anyone down my boss had it before me it's done 215000 now it's been cutting out under load for 15000 miles due to (original) pump failure. But always kept on going putting second hand pump on it tomorrow and check injectors out, I've seen mk3 mondeo 130s being remapped surely they have the same ecu as the transit ? I'm waiting for this engine to blow but it keeps going even with years off abuse and little maintenance 80 to 200 miles a day can't fault it really.
