Transit PATs issues using forscan

Hi am very new to forscan. I am doing a conversion on a 2008 transit van. Have put 130ps mondeo engine in and 2005 tdci wiring loom and ecu, I did receive a key when I bought ECU but this didnt work either. Have got extended license on forscan, tried to reprogramme original van key to ecu. Got a message along the lines of -forscan reported success but the number of keys has not increased-, was able to delete 3 previously stored keys, but got the same message when trying to program key again. Have posted the same on forscan forum. Please help

Are you still using the 2008 body control electronics ?
What key are you using ?

It has a full wiring loom from a 2005 2.0 tdci transit, all of the original loom has been removed, I was sold a key with the 2.0tdci ecu, but the key was no good, so have tried to program the original key for the van. I have also just ordered a blank key fob off ebay in the hope it may work. Thanks in advance

I suspect the pats transponders are different for mk6 and mk7.

I did wonder hence why I have bought another fob, as when I opened up the key I have for the van the transponder is grey chip whereas the keys advertised on eBay for a 2005 van are glass type. Hopefully that be it?
