Hi guys, just stripped the scv, it didnt look to bad with just very light marks on the piston. When I slid it in and out of the bore it felt smooth with no signs of sticking, while I was there I gave the connections a good bast with contacy cleaner. Ive just refitted it and the van is running perfect!! Gone for my usual blast around local that normally throws up the bad running again and its still running perfect, tickover bang on, no stalling. I'm going to drive it to work tomorrow and will let you know how it goes thanks again all for your help in this, fingers crossed its sorted. And at least I am confident now that it is the scv, how unlucky to have a second pump fitted that is just as bad as the first one!!

Result....could have just been a bit of crud in the valve itself. The pumps rarely fail though....can't say we've had one at all that I'm aware of.

Just an update guys, van was great going to work and back today and seems to be running sweet as a nut, it aslo feels smoother to drive

Hey guys just another update, the van is still running great going to do another pump and pilot learn as soon as I can get away from work at a decent time lol. Thanks everyone again for all your help on this, it was driving me crazy!

I'm praying for mine to ahve just bad connections too. Will check early tomorrow.
It has the same sort of behaviour and no codes (!) coming up...
There are other erratic faults such as air con with a mind of its own, traction control deactivates and rearms by itself, and the glow plugs fuse blown after being fitted the 1st time I turn the key.

I might really need your expertise on this. The van is a 08 mk7, 2.2 T350 LWB FWD
