mk7 transit 2.2tdci electrical prob

Postby M4tty » Sun Oct 22, 2017 3:50 pm

Hi,

Wipers stopped working, heated seat, dipped and main beam both sides and horn not working.

Think majority of aux fuseboard circuits not working apart from electric windows. When turning lights on can hear relay clicking in passenger footwell but no dipped or main beam.

Have checked fuses in battery fuse box all ok. Can't find relay 1 (maybe as I've only got one battery?) But power is getting to aux fusebox and relays are clicking down there. Voltage is present on one terminal on the wiper stalk and when position of stalk is changed different terminals become live then dead so think this is working ok. Voltage on one terminal at wiper motor.

All fuses ok in passenger fusebox and hidden one behind and all ok in engine bay.

Does all the above point to a Bcm problem and if so is it a Ford main dealer only?

Thanks in advance for any help with this problem .

Cheers

It sounds like you’ve made all the obvious checks
Have you actually removed each of the main fuses and tested them with a multimeter?
Might be an idea to swap round the ignition relays and see if the fault moves
