2006 - Back door filthy with oil / soot

Hey Gang,

I have a 2006, RWD 2.4 transit. She has a bit of an oil leak around the engine ( currently with dealer) and when you put the foot down, a fairly substantial puff of black smoke comes out the back. After a few miles driving on the motor way, the back doors are absolutely filthy with oil residue / soot from... what I am assuming is the exhaust.

Is this a common problem with a smokey exhaust... or could the be something else?

Is it a Mk6 or Mk7..?? 2006 was the "change-over year..

It is the "pre-face lift" model, thats mk6 isnt it?

Aye...now...is it TDDi or the Devils own TDCi..??

Does the glow plug light flash at all..?? Have you had the codes read..??

first place to look-cos its easy-take off the intercooler to egr pipe and see if you can spot a hole/crack-causes unreal smoke.
and if its a tdci, burn it
