The brake wear warning is a single wire loop from the instrument cluster through the two monitored pads to earth.
It goes to the rear then the front.
At the front connector the black and grey wire goes to earth.
At the rear connector the brown and blue wire goes to the front pad.
The blue and green wire comes from the instrument cluster.

What vehicle do you have?
v8dave wrote:Diagram on it's way.
Wire around the pads is an earth of a logic circuit in the instrument cluster, if the wire is not broken then the instrument cluster probably is.

BUT only has one wear sensor on nearside front pads ( drums on rear ) here is NO cable at all to the drivers side front pads , they were only half worn when the light came on but I changed them anyway , light still on ?isn't there some procedure for turnig it off like pressing the brake and accelerator etc some as turning off the Oil change light ??
