Injector possibly.

Postby darrenlindop » Tue Nov 14, 2017 10:09 pm

Hi all. New to this forum and need your expertise.
I have recently bought a mk6 tcdi t280 06. It has 190.000 on the clock.
My problem is that she starts ok. runs fine. no smoke. No noisy engine.
However after iv been driving for 50 or so miles and the engines warmed up. I try to excellerate to above 70ish say. And my dash engine light comes on and engine cuts out.
Il turn key off an then on again while moving which starts it again.and i stay below 65ish then.
Iv been told i could have a injector problem which is a very costly thing if it isent. She drives fine need help before or if i have to part with alot of dosh.
Many thanks for any help please.

You need to have the codes read, the van will tell you where the fault is, reman injectors are 120 sovs each. N

My opinion would be to get the codes read and take it from there :D

1 or more duff injectors would cause starting issues especially when its cold and would ce cutting out under hard acceleration.

Get the codes read and post them up here and then we can point you in the right direction. N
