Plug with nothing connected to it behind right rear light

Just picked up a Mk7 Transit to convert into a sleeper / race van for my racing next year. I'm in the process of fitting a towbar with generic electrics. Behind the drivers side rear light cluster is a 6 pin plug with nothing connected to it. Everything is functioning. Does anyone know if it there ready for use with something like revering sensors... or even towbars electrics. I've used a multi-meter across the pins to check and they are all dead even with lights on.

Reversing alarm sensor harness.
Needs a module and sounder in the dash behind the instrument cluster.

I know they are not cheap but it is worth getting a proper plug in trailer socket loom.
The rear light wiring and connectors can give problems and if you start cutting into the wires you'll increase your chances of problems.

I’ve bought some new light cluster plugs, and will be splicing and soldering rather than flaky scotch locks etc

I'm having issues with mine for that exact reason, I just need to find the proper plug in loom that I have in the garage

Not if it is an original ford harness, the tow bar wiring runs under the van.
