08 transit 2.2 hunting idle cutting out "intermittently"

Hi folks
Just joined the forum as im having abit if bother with my transit
Just bought it a couple of weeks ago but its starting hunting at idle and twice today it cut out(the 1st time that's happened)
The problem only happens now and again,some days it doesn't do it at all
I drove 50 miles today and it drove fine,smooth no hunting then i popped out this evening literally 2 mins down the road hunting and cut out twice
Started it back up and no hunting
No dash lights
Any ideas?

Yeah searched that prior to posting
Was hoping it was something else as its intermittent
What damage will be done if i continue to drive it?van only cost 500 was just going to use it till april when the mot runs out and get rid
How much am i looking at for prv,scv and recalibration?

If you can find someone local with ids they could do a pump and pilot learn, might help for a while.
