Injector change.

Postby darrenlindop » Fri Nov 17, 2017 10:26 am

Hi all. Ford mk 6 injectors. The injectors are all ford at present in my van.
Would it be alright if one injector was kaputt. Could i replace it with lets say a delhi injector different to the other 3 and get tht coded.

In CR Delphi injection system, all injectors should have the same Delphi part number, for example EJDR00401Z. Sometimes engine with one or two different injectors works correctly, but only... sometimes.

It is the dreaded tdci 125. Like i mensioned in my earlier post. It drives ok. No noise starts fine etc. Would it be alright to just keep using it till tht injector finally packs in.

Yes but it will start cutting out on you, personally I would change all 4 as if one goes the rest will soon follow.

What makes you think you have one duff injector?. N

Our local garage mensioned it. When it was on the diagnostic. Having an mot. Plus with the engine cutting out now and again when its warm. And you give it a little extra to overtake.

Sounds familiar  I would do all 4 go on the Pf Jones website £120 each for remans but you get £30 each back when you send your old ones to them. N
