took me 3 weekends to change the solenoid :-( was a very sad month.

Aye its sad and lonely without the van

It only took me 30 minutes to change my injectors and then 5 weeks to get Lucifer to actually start (with the help of another set of injectors)

'Tis coming up 4 weeks since I sent my ECU to Martyn for remap, was suppose to be back Monday but Aus Post are useless A*holes. Probably been sitting in the drivers van for 3 days, he is a Lazy SOB

Ok, I admit I sat on it for a while until I got at least 2 positive posts here as to what to do

What else you gonna do, it's not mine and who's it is ain't made of money, if this doesn't work I really don't know where to turn.

I'm looking forward to correcting my error tomorrow and posting up a fandabidozy post. :)

We're just trying to keep you cheerful, am sure tomorrow you'll turn the key and sit there grinning like a Cheshire cat while the van gently ticks over, then go terrorising Inverness  N

So, put the cap back on the Glenfidich, staggered to the car and headed for the Jumbo.

I did put the little motor body 'earth' whip on as it happens, hmmmm :?:

Only one thing for it, I whipped motor off and flung it onto the bench bitch style, ran the jump leads from the battery and randomly touched the terminal posts whilst squinting my eyes and grimacing. :|

Touched bottom post and the ign post together and the motor spun up and flung out the ring gear. Ok, looking favourable. :o

So, turns out the lead emanating from the motor body is not an earth but a supply, and the little post is the ign, and the top post is the earth. :?

Anyways, popped starter back with the pos on the main bottom post, the ign on the little post, and the chassis earth (which I previously believed belonged to the starter mounting bolt) to the top post, battery terminals back on and absolutely f*** all, not a whisper, not even a click this time. :P

How embarrassing.

I've opened the bottle again :D

The lead that comes down from the top goes on to the solenoid just above the ign trigger wire  The earth lead from the chassis goes on the bottom starter mounting bolt and if that works leave a drop in the bottle for me :)

I had it that way to begin with.

Now I've stupidly stuck the chassis earth on the bottom post with no result.

Can't wait for tomorrow. :|

Lives top, motor wire bottom, ign on smaller post, how is this not working?

Even with hoist it's now beginning to get on my tits.
Oil cooler pipes obscure the starter wires unless you undo starter and move slightly, to tighten post nuts I'm using 2 long 3/8" extensions, a short on and a 1/4 adaptor and 13mm socket, ign is 10mm, it's a pig to light the area too, boo hoo dry your eyes :!:
Am I moaning enough :D  :D  :D  :D  :D  :D
