Loss of power and limp mode

Postby valleyservice » Mon Nov 20, 2017 6:29 pm

Hi guys, New to here
Not sure if anybody can shed some light on things,

Transit 2006 mk7 2.2tdci 130bhp.
Vehicle has been loosing power when giving it some gas and intermittently going into limp mode when putting foot down.
Fault code P037D glow plug relay sense circuit
P2265 water in fuel sensor circuit range/performance
P062B internal control module fuel injector

cleaned up and fitted new injector copper seals as 2 were leaking
Have a glow plug tip stuck in no1 cylinder that I know. But all wiring attached to glow plugs
New EGR and turbo fitted about 12 months ago but fault has been ongoing since then
Had EGR delete which made no difference

recycle the ignition and vehicle goes fine until I give the right foot a press.Any ideas guys? TIA

Sounds like you may have a duff injector or two....best to do an injector leak-off test, this will give a basic idea of their condition, if ok, a full set of learns and a PCM software update might help.

Learns will fail if the injectors are poorly, SCV & PRV may need looking at too if the learns fail.

Thanks for that .
The ford diagnostic computer won’t talk with the van.apparently the vin no isn’t the same as the van.it has 2 x Y in the vin instead of 2 x X,s.vin plate has 2 x X.s ,Y,s in the ecu.
Sounds like it’s scrap heap challenge.not going to change ecu as to expensive
Sounds as if it’s pointless replacing the prv without getting it updated and that can only be done by the ford computer?
