Thanks loot i,ll see if i can get one somewhere are they expensive new? Just thinking when it starts it runs ok after using easy start and takes me home or wherever so wouldnt that rule out the pump anyway? Does sound like air though doesnt it...maybe just a coincidence that my mate jacked it up then it started this...loot wrote:Fuel filter heads are known to leak, before spending a fortune maybe get 1 off a scrapper just to rule that out? Could be other things etc but usually if the fuel filter is half then there's air getting in.

Hi Loot just went around and took some photos and had a look there are no wires to the injectors there is a wire loom that runs from back of the lump to the front but its just on top of the inlet manifold. Engine says its duratorque DI too...I turned the key and it started on the button 3 times.Last time it stopped on me was last week after it had been sitting up for about 3 weeks it started after a few turns , i took around the corner a mile left it idling and it conked out after 5 mins and wouldnt start again without easy start. Maybe the new fuel filter has solved it but I wont know until i take it out for a bit and leave it idling again which wont be till the weekend-sat as im afraid it,ll conk out in the high street or something.I did see some 2nd hand fuel filter housings on flea bay for £15-£35 but theres also new ones at £50 but they dont look genuine fordloot wrote:90 will be tddi, any wires going to the injectors?
