School boy errror

sh*t a duck lol lads and lasses whilst i have had fuel pump off my 2.0 di transit obv had to take inlet manifold off its been sat for 2 days went to lift the bonnet and rain has been gettin through bomnet seal and dripping onto top of engine then noticed leaking down onto inlet holes of head do u think water may have got into the cyclinder or does the i lets run up so water could not work ita way up if that makes sense ... putting pump on now what shall i do just dry out inlets with a rag and crack on ???

As long as you don't have pools of water you;ll be O.K maybe take a hair dryer to it and evaporate the water out!

Either pop the injectors or glowplugs out and crank it over, teaspoon ot 2 stroke oil in each inlet and repeat.

X2 on that, I took injectors out on one I had to re build for a mate who did similar to you....you'll be amazed how much water may come out :shock: DONT be tempted to try it without checking, as it will cause major damage even if only a small amount.
