Mk6 heater plug wire

Hi my mates 06 125 RWD heater plugs gone new plugs fitted but it has burnt out the main feed wire how do we go on repairing it thanks

you will have to find something good from the fuse/relay wire and go from their, but this may need you to remove the engine bay fuse box to find a good bit of wire to soldier to :D

You don't need the glow plugs and you can remove the relay and have more amps to start the engine

Cheers brains mate has all ready fitted new plugs says it’s not starting as good without them so as it’s got new ones fitted he will get them wired up if it was mine I’d have left it

Good luck finding a replacement wire, ford just look at you like your daft when I asked 3 years ago, I think it might be a case of soldering in some wire of similar size if your mate wants it working again, personally I wouldn't bother but each to their own. N

Me to but a mate of his is a really good auto electrician he now lectures at local tec and is the best around hear and you can’t beat mates rates

the fusebox body just unclips from the holder-5 clips, lift it up and join wire there. go down the scrappies and do the same to get donor wire

Not always true, and definitely not true on 125ps
