Ford transit 2005 Tdci 135

Postby temiety » Wed Nov 22, 2017 6:31 pm

I took my ford transit 2005 135 tdci to a garage called powerdrive in Portsmouth to check water leaks and cause of overheating and change of speedometer, water leaks check was done. After the change of the speedometer, the van stops working. The engine starts perfectly well but when you rev 1500 rev the engines cut off completely. They have check literally everything wiring loom crank sensor even changes of the injectors. they even took the ECU out to check and test it will another ECU. I really don't want to let go of this Van because it was driving perfectly well before I took it to the garage works perfectly well and after they carry out the work it stops working. They are demanding for me to pay £1500 and the van has bn with them for five months. Please help what can I do and what could be the problem. they have literally tried everything they can.

It sounds to me like the garage are playing an expensive guessing game.
You need to get a second opinion from a garage that really knows Transits, or even a tame Ford dealer

this is typical of garages do they work on commercial vehicles ? or just a car garage
