power steering pipe question

2009 rwd 2.4

can anyone explain in idiot terms or with a pic
on the end of the pipe that goes in to the top of the pump , all images show it comes with out the nut ? how does this work ?

I believe the nut and it's "O" ring come separately, # 3F656 here:

If you just wish to replace the nut/"O" ring, you have to cut the old one off, if you need to replace the pipe, you'll need to buy both parts separately.
