ABS & Traction light

Postby brankster » Wed Dec 13, 2017 4:38 pm

I had these lights on a few weeks ago right after I put the wrong bulb in or my brakes. I put the right bulb in and lights went out and were all good for about a week when the lights came back on. The lights seem to come on every other day and if i stop the van and restart it they go away for a day or two. Is there something I should check? Has anyone had this issue? Van still drives totally fine when lights are on.

Not had anything done. I have read on this site that if you put a single element bulb in that it can cause warning lights. It went on right after I put the bulb in and off right after I put the correct bulb in. So seemed obvious to me that this caused it. If there was a problem would the lights not just stay on all the time?

Have you recently had any tyres changed, brakes looked at etc...

You could possibly have a poorly ABS/TC loom, intermittent connection maybe..? Might pay to check all the ABS sensor looms on each wheel.

Just an update as the lights on the dash only came on when I put my lights on. I put a new bulb holder in and that seems to have fixed it. Just thought I would update as I read that someone else had the same problem.
